This is a decent book, but the idea that you get a good idea of how to convert your own van to a camper? Not even close. This is basically a book made by going to a place that builds RV's out of vans and following some people around with a camera. There is some good info to be sure, but if you are looking for ideas of how to come up with your own layout, why types of conversions the average person might be able to pull off without professional help etc.. forget it. There is little if any information of that type. You can get some ideas about safety issues in the case of venting carbon dioxide/monoxide etc.. and running propane lines there is a lot of warnings about NOT doing that yourself..

I gave it two stars because it's two stars worth of information, but it does get that information off to you. The pictures are easy to see, very illustrative. If you are looking for a book that you can follow some pro's around as they convert a van and after reading it have absolutely no idea where to start... this book is for you.

Also if this "how to convert your van or bus to camper" book has any information on where to get materials to do said conversion, I never saw it. It's a conversion done by leisuredrive in the UK so if you are in the United States and thinking of contacting them, they are an ocean away folks so don't bother.

Excellent book. I own one of these English conversions here in the United States, even right hand drive, and this book showed me exactly how my van was put together by the conversion company.

I highly recommend this book for anyone contemplating a conversion like this. The parts are actually still available online from the English conversion company.
This is not such a great book. Bland, yet overly techie. Needs more and better photos and illustrations. Save your money and buy a better quality manual if you can find one.
